How do arch supports work?

Our custom arch supports have a polypropylene shell that is flexible enough to provide comfort and rigid enough to support your arch properly. The semi-rigid shell is custom milled to fit your foot structure based on your individual foot casting and prevents the muscles, ligaments and plantar fascia from fatiguing or over-stretching throughout the day.

Arch supports are commonly confused with a lower-cost substitute called “insoles.”  People may visit their local drugstore, convenience store, or sporting goods store for "arch supports". In reality, they are spending between $14.95 and $49.95 on insoles—products that serve only to add cushion and absorb shock.

Initially insoles may seem to have solved the problem, but after a few days the pain returns.  This problem occurs even with the most expensive insole products. Why? Because, they are not custom made for your feet and the foam padding collapses quickly.

For your feet to feel good every day they need solid, long-lasting support. Retail store insoles do not support your feet, they only provide a cushion that will break down over time.

Feet of the same size do not necessarily have the same arch height. The difference between our custom arch supports and lower-cost insoles is the custom-fit designed exactly for your foot.
